In 2021, Nike joined forces with the renowned Baltimore skate shop, Carpet Company, expanding the already rich catalog of SB Dunks with a new Dunk High. Carpet Company, known for creating handcrafted t-shirts and custom skate decks, channeled its creative, DIY spirit into this first collaboration, giving rise to a unique and innovative project.

The Nike SB Dunk High Carpet Company offers a unique feature: the ability to tear away and modify the upper as desired. Made from hammered white leather, these sneakers feature a translucent blue layer that evokes screen printing, a technique widely used by the shop to create its unique t-shirts. Beneath the blue layer, yellow leather decorated with embroidered graphics is revealed, showcasing a completely new and different look compared to the shoe's initial appearance. A special detail is represented by the hidden messages on the heel, with quotes from the Egyptian founders of Carpet Company themselves. On the left heel, the phrase "Brought To You By The Habibis At Carpet Company" appears, while on the right, we find the word "Nike" written in Arabic calligraphy, a tribute to the owners' cultural roots.
